Spring is in full bloom in southern Africa and dry warm weather continues. It’s still prime game-viewing season.
It is peak game viewing month in Botswana too which is very dry now. Animals gather around water sources. This is the time when vast herds congregate by the Chobe River.
The temperature in the Cape rises to the low 20ºs, but there can be showers, and depressions coming over from the South Atlantic to cool things down temporarily.
In East Africa large herds have migrated into Kenya’s Masai Mara, in Tanzania the Serengeti is dry and animals are seeking permanent water. A good time to see large herds of elephant in Tarangire.
All Indian Ocean islands and coastal destinations are good and getting hotter.
Oman is hot and pleasant – the perfect winter sun destination.
Namibia is getting hotter, but it’s still a pleasant time for touring.
