Stay the night: Diana Dea Lodge, Réunion
Following a recent visit to beautiful Réunion Island, Travel Specialist Laura shares her experiences of the four-star Diana Dea Lodge, tucked away on a hillside in Sainte Anne.
On arrival at the Diana Dea Lodge I was amazed to see a herd of dear in the grounds, totally unexpected. We then drove up the long and winding drive to arrive at the hotel. The hotel is set in 150 hectares of former hunting land. Allowing lots of areas to explore and to spot the deer. The hotel is impressively sat 650 metres above sea level. It overlooks the Indian Ocean and the entire East Coast of Reunion.
We went through to the stunning dining room, which again offered incredible views. The whole hotel has been designed to take in the views from every angle. The food was out of this world, a three-course meal of Caesar salad, duck and a white chocolate and raspberry souffle.
After the meal, guests have the option to relax in the bar area with an open fire in the middle as the focal point.
