Seven beaches of brilliant white sand, each guarded by giant granite boulders, fringe Fregate Island - Anse Victorin is particularly gorgeous. If you prefer to swim in fresh water, there are two large infinity pools to enjoy.
Frégate ’s Rock Spa uses only the pure, natural ingredients grown on the island (There are over 160.) to create products for your treatments; and it’s a point of pride that anything applied to your skin is also edible. Spa staff are qualified therapists who bring their knowledge of traditional Seychellois remedies to their work.
At Christmas and Easter, Frégate's Cast Away Club provides a programme for children 5 – 12. Younger guests can visit the clubhouse accompanied by a babysitter.
Frégate provides inspired gourmet meals reflecting the bounty of the tropics, with freshly-picked fruit and vegetables from its own plantation and hydroponics house. The 19th-century planter’s residence is a museum by day and an atmospheric restaurant by night. You can have an intimate dinner in the amazing wine cellar, light lunches and snacks at one of the bars, a barbecue on the beach or the yacht club, dinner in the tree house, in your villa or a setting of your choice.
Protected by coral reefs, the island’s beaches provide safe swimming and superb snorkelling and diving. The PADI dive centre also offers diving courses. The marina provides a full range of watersports, game fishing, boat charter and trips to explore a more remote island.
Frégate, and its hidden coves of dazzling white sand, is ideal for exploring - on foot, by bike, buggy or kayak. Frégate holds half the world’s remaining magpie robins, as well as blue pigeon and sunbird, and the Frégate bird, to which the island owes its name, feeds off the coast. The world’s second largest population of Aldabra giant tortoise is found here and Green and Hawksbill turtles come to nest.
