Constance Ephelia is set on two beautiful beaches looking out over the Port Launay National Marine Park on the island of Mahe. With its varied accommodation, the Ephelia will fulfil the needs of couples and families seeking a luxurious Seychelles holiday in an unspoiled corner.

Accommodation

The Ephelia has a wide choice of accommodation: junior and senior suites and five different types of villa. According to Chania, who visited in December 2009, Constance has managed to create a sense of intimacy in a large resort hotel by grouping accommodation into discrete areas within 120 hectares of tropical gardens. The resort has 184 air-conditioned junior suites. Each has a full bathroom, is well-equipped – down to the pillow menu – and can accommodate two adults and a child on the sofa-bed. The 40 senior suites are 80m2.

The 10 one-bedroom spa villas are lavish, with a private pool and pergola. The bathroom encompasses both the treatment area and the bath area. On the north beach, the 12 two-bedroom beach villas provide private pools and pergolas and can accommodate two children on sofa-beds. Twelve three-bedroom family villas offer an outside dining area in addition. The 8 one or two-bedroom hillside villas have plunge pools. There is also an enormous presidential villa.

Food

Constance Ephelia Resort has five restaurants. Based on our experience of the other Constance hotels, we would expect a high standard of cooking.

The Corossol is the main restaurant and serves international cuisine in buffet style. The restaurant is well-designed and provides separate areas to create the impression of a smaller scale.

On the south beach, the Helios offers Mediterranean cuisine at lunch time and afternoon tea and ice cream from 3 – 5 pm. The Adam & Eve is the à la carte restaurant on the south beach.

Cyann is the gourmet restaurant on the north beach, open for lunch and dinner. Seselwa faces the north beach and serves Creole meals all day long. The resort also has five bars.

Facilities

In addition to the private pools and north and south beaches, the resort has four swimming pools. It has a number of interesting boutiques and a proper departure lounge. The mini club is open from 9 am to 10 pm for children from 4 – 12 and baby-sitting is available by arrangement.

The spa is 7000m2  and comprises 14 treatment rooms, three Shiseido treatment rooms, a yoga pavillon, sauna, Jacuzzi, a still and a thermal pool and a manicure room.

Activities

Tennis and squash are among the complimentary land activities and there is also a fully-equipped gym. Pedalos, kayaking, wind-surfing and catamarans are available.
Diving and fishing are on offer at additional cost, as are yoga lessons.

We hope you leave time to walk in Le Morne Seychellois National Park, explore Victoria and its market, discover Seychelles’ vibrant art scene, enjoy a Creole meal in the company of giant tortoises….
