Sol y Luna is one of the Sacred Valley’s most established properties, and despite the arrival of new hotels, it is still regarded as one of the best. Set within 25 acres of gardens teeming with local flora, fauna and birdlife, the hotel has been built in a charming rustic style reflecting the spirit of the surrounding Andes. With 43 individual casitas or small houses, made of adobe, wood and stone, they range in size and amenities. Many display locally sourced Peruvian art and tapestries. There is an outstanding spa offering many treatments and a fully equipped gym. The Killa Wasi restaurant serves Novo-Andean cuisine; a fusion of Peru's wide array of flavours and uses locally grown produce. There is also a large outdoor infinity pool on the grounds.
