Ntwala Island Lodge is a little known secluded lodge set on a pristine cluster of islands within the Mambova rapids where two mighty African rivers converge, the Zambezi and the Chobe.
Unusually with unique white sands and palm trees, the Ntwala Island Lodge is only 80 kilometres upstream from Victoria Falls, a perfect watery alternative with a great selection of activities compared to the usual Chobe offerings.
This little hideaway has only four luxurious styled suites with a private plunge pool fringed by white sand, viewing deck, bay bath feature, indoor and outdoor shower and a private sala extending out over the water for privacy and seclusion. The main complex has an indoor/outdoor lounge and dining facilities with an open fireplace, reference library, viewing decks and wine cellar.
With privacy and flexibility being key here, each suite has a boat and a private guide so you are able to motor boat in the area. Activities may include; trips onto the Chobe River, going fly-fishing, walking and visiting cultural villages.
Ntwala Island Lodge is also a bird watchers paradise due to rare species that can be found in their natural habitats.
