Newly opened (mid 2017), the owner-run Andasibe Lemurs Resort is situated 10 minutes drive from Andasibe village and just 15 minutes from the park entrance.
As such it is superbly located for those wanting to explore the protected rainforest parcels of:
- Andasibe,
- Analamazaotra Forest Station,
- VOIMMA,
- Marohizaha and
- Mantadia National Park.
The property has neat, spacious, modern and airy, elevated bungalows: 8 are standard and 2 are family bungalows.
Standard bungalows can be adapted into twin, double or triple rooms, depending on guest's requirements.
Each bungalow has en-suite facilities (toilet and shower with modern fittings and washbasin), ceiling fan and built-in wardrobe. Rooms have wooden floors and while solar power is utilised there is a backup generator to provide power 24/7. A sliding glass door opens onto a private verandah where guests can enjoy relaxing and reading, or enjoying the views. Each room has a wall-mounted TV with English channels. There is WiFi.
The restaurant serves traditional and European dishes. (Maximum capacity of 50 guests). Our representatives rate food and service as good. Meals can also be enjoyed on the outside terrace.
There is a massage room and laundry service is offered.
We inspected the property in September 2018 (Derek Schuurman and Daniel Austin of Bradt Guides) and were impressed by the friendliness of management.
