Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort is located about a 45 minutes' drive from Kota Kinabalu city on a broad stretch of white sand beach and is surrounded by 400 acres of tropical forest.
The resort has 499 rooms and suites split between the Garden Wing and the smaller Ocean Wing.
In the Garden Wing, all rooms come with a private lanai or upper floor balconies while the Ocean Wing rooms offer private outdoor bathtubs on
the balcony and sweeping views over the gardens or ocean.
The Resort offers 2 free-form swimming pools, one in each wing, plus an outdoor Jacuzzi. There are a host of activities you can enjoy including sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, horse riding on the beach and cycling. There is a choice of dining outlets ranging from the casual vibe of the Coffee Terrace
to the award-winning Indian restaurant, Naan.
The Rasa Ria’s own 64-acre nature reserve is home to indigenous plant life and small wildlife including Sunda slow loris, Western Tarsiers and many species of birds, reptiles, frogs and invertebrates.
