Uganda Gorilla & Game Safari - Group tour

This 8-day small group safari packs in many of Uganda's highlights. It includes a pre and post night in Entebbe, one in Lake Mburo National Park, chimp tracking in Chamburu (Kyamburu) Gorge, three nights in Queen Elizabeth National Park for game / bird watching including a boat cruise and visit to Ngamba island chimpanzee sanctuary and two nights at the rainforest of Bwindi for gorilla tracking.

Itinerary

On this trip you will visit:
  • Bwindi
  • Kampala, Entebbe & Jinja
  • Lake Mburo
  • Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 1
Depart from London Heathrow on overnight flight to Entebbe
Day 2
Entebbe
On arrival you will be met and transferred to Boma or Gately Guest House or Lake Vic Hotel for a one night stay, breakfast included.

This afternoon will be the half day Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, depending on arrival time, this can be done at the end of your stay on return to Entebbe.
Day 3
Lake Mburo National Park
Drive to Lake Mburo National Park which will take about 5-6 hours, for a one night stay at Mantana Tented Camp, all meals included.

The afternoon you will have the opportunity for a game drive or boat trip on the lake or walk with local guide.
Day 4
Bwindi National Park
Travel to Bwindi (Or into Rwanda, depending on permit availability) which will take about 6-7 hours for a two night stay a Buhoma Lodge or similar, all meals included.

The afternoon, there will be a game drive or nature walk.
Day 5
Bwindi National Park
Early morning rise and briefing for the departure of your Gorilla trek. This afternoon you will be able to relax after your trek or explore the local area on foot.
Day 6
Queen Elizabeth National Park
This morning there is an opportunity to do a second optional gorilla trek, your hour with them passes so quickly and it is worth considering. Alternatively there is a chance to do a forest walks, village visits or bit of curio shopping.

The drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park only take 2-3 hours, arriving late afternoon at Ishasha Tented Camp or similar for a three night stay, all meals included.
Day 7
Queen Elizabeth National Park
Morning and afternoon game drives in the Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 8
Queen Elizabeth National Park
Morning game drive and boat cruise on Kazinga Channel.
Day 9
Entebbe
Return to Entebbe via craft markets at Equator or Kampala, for last night Boma or Gately Guest House or Lake Vic Hotel, with breakfast included.
Day 10
Transfer to Entebbe Airport for return flight to London Heathrow.

Inclusive of return flights from London to Entebbe, meet & greet service in Entebbe, return airport transfers in Entebbe, accommodation in top quality hotels / lodges, meals as specified, services of driver/guide, all park entry fees, excursion to Ngamba Chimpanzee Island by boat & entrance fees, forest walk Bwindi or Rwanda, game drives in Lake Mburo and either guided walk or boating excursion game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park and boat cruise on Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park and Gorilla & Chimp tracking permits.

Excludes:  Visas, permits, drinks, travel insurance, additional gorilla permits and items of a personal nature.

This trip may run in reverse and certain of these trips may trek gorillas in RWANDA - enquire at time of booking.
