The plains of the Serengeti, the 16 kilometre-wide natural amphitheatre of the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara’s sulphur-rich hot spring are some of the continent’s most iconic sights. Our comfortable small group mobile safari begins at Arusha where Kilimanjaro frames the distant horizon, and takes you along this northern route to see Tanzania’s natural wonders.

Camping is one of the best ways to get close to nature and on this trip you'll have a support team who will put up tents and do the cooking for you, so you are able to make the most of your time on the game drives. Tents are large walk-in dome style, and you sleep on mattreses with sleeping bags and inner sheet.

As this is only a small group, you will be transported in small, four-wheel drive vehicles. If you are able to get a group of 4 people together, this trip can depart on a private basis on dates of your choice. This is a great way to have all the benefits of a private trip at the price of a group tour.

Day 1

Depart from London on direct overnight flight to Nairobi.

Day 2

Arusha

Onward connection to Tanzania. On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be met and transferred to local hotel in Arusha for a 1-night stay, breakfast included.

Day 3

Ngorongoro Crater

This morning you will met the rest of the group, have a briefing from your guide and opportunity to purchase your own drinks for your safari. Leave by 10h00 to head to the Ngorongoro Crater for 2 nights camping, all meals included. This afternoon, there will be an optional cultural Masai visit.

Camping equipment is large walk-in dome tents, mattresses, all cooking and eating utensils, bedding (sleeping bag and inner sheet), services of a cook / camp assistant, all equipment carried in trailer or on vehicle. Camping is inside parks or conservation areas unless specified – at public campsites.

Day 4

Game drive on the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater floor

Days 5 - 6

Serengeti National Park

Depart for the endless plains of the Serengeti for a 2-night stay, all meals and game drives included

Day 7

Lake Manyara National Park

Final game-drive in the Serengeti before heading via the Ngorongoro region to Lake Manyara National Park for a 1-night stay, all meals included.

Day 8

Morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park and return to Arusha late afternoon for your flight from Kilimanjaro Airport to Nairobi to check in for your return flight to London Heathrow.
