Day 1
Depart from London Heathrow on the overnight flight to Cape Town, arriving early the next morning.

Cape Town

Days 6 - 7
Hermanus, Garden Route
Stay 2 nights at Grootbos Private Nature Reserve close to Hermanus. Grootbos has a small children zoo and bug boxes, and is perfect for shore-based whale-watching during the whale season (Jun – Oct). Grootbos also offers guided nature walks in the unique fynbos and milkwood forests and horse-riding on the pristine beach.

Oudtshoorn
At De Zeekoe Guest Farm close to the small Karoo town of Oudtshoorn, children over 10 years can join the early morning wild meerkat tour and visit ostrich farms tolearn more about their huge eggs. Stay here overnight.

Tsitsikamma Forest, Garden Route
Head to the heart of the Garden Route to stay 3 nights at Hog Hollow Country Lodge in the Tsitsikamma Forest and close to the Keurboomstrand and Plettenberg Bay beaches. Hog Hollow is a great base to explore other attractions in the area; nearby boat trips for dolphin watching, the fascinating Monkey Land and elephant interactions in Knysna.
