Pretoria to Cape Town on Rovos Rail

This short 3 day / 2 night trip on board the Rovos Rail takes you from Pretoria to Cape Town or vice versa, visiting Kimberley en route and giving you the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery from the comfort of this luxury train!

Itinerary

On this trip you will visit:
  • Cape Town
  • Gauteng
Day 1
Pretoria
Start your journey at the Rovos Rail station in Pretoria where you will be board at 3pm and enjoy dinner on board.
Day 2
Kimberley
At 09:45am, you will depart the train at Kimberley where you will see the Big Hole and the Diamond Mine Museum. At 12:30pm, you will travel onwards to Matjiesfontein overnight passing De Aar and Beaufort West.
Day 3
Cape Town
In the morning you will visit the village of Matjiesfontein and by 10:30am you will be on your way to Cape Town through Touws River and Worcester. You will depart the Rovos Rail at Cape Town at 6pm.
