Day 1
Lungi Airport Hotel
Fly from Heathrow on the non-stop BMI flight to
Freetown. Arrive in the early evening and overnight at the comfortable Lungi Airport Hotel, breakfast and dinner included.

Day 2
Banana Island
Transfer by private speedboat to Freetown and continue along the well-maintained Waterloo Road to Kent Beach, where you board the boat to Banana Island. Stay 2 nights at Banana Island Guesthouse, owned and run by members of the local community, all meals included.

Day 3
Banana Island
Explore the relics of the island's place in the slave trade with a guide; go out in a canoe and collect oysters for lunch. In the evening, dine on succulent fresh lobster or the catch of the day.
Day 4
No. 2 Beach
Transfer back to the mainland and travel overland along the peninsula to gorgeous No. 2 Beach. Stay 2 nights at the community-run No. 2 Beach Guesthouse, breakfast included. For dinner, the guesthouse will provide freshly caught fish, prepared on an open fire on the beach.

Day 5
No. 2 Beach
Spend the day relaxing on the beach. Alternatively, take a boat trip up River No. 2 in search of birds, monkeys and crocodiles.
Day 6
Freetown
Continue to Freetown to explore the city with your private guide. Overnight at Freetown's top hotel, Country Lodge, breakfast included. Enjoy the hotel's large pool and restaurant serving delicious meals, both with panoramic views over the city. If you would like to sample Freetown's lively night scene, just let us know.

Freetown
After a morning at leisure, you will be transferred by private speedboat and on by road to the Lungi Airport Hotel where you will have use of a day room. Have a hot shower and dinner (cost of meal to own account) before the BMI overnight flight to London Heathrow.
