Mexico City is vibrant, noisy, polluted but is a wonderful destination for a city break. Stand in Zocalo, the historic centre of Mexico City and take in the grandeur of the Metropolitan Cathedral and watch the enormous Mexican flag fly in the centre of the plaza.
You will visit Coyoacan, a former colonial village to the south of Mexico City which has narrow colonial streets, plazas, cafes and a lively bohemian atmosphere. Visit the home of famous Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, her work has often been described as surrealist. Her home is a treasure trove of paintings and artifacts of hers and her husband, the famous muralist Diego Riviera.
Watch a colourful performance of Mexican Folkloric Ballet and navigate to canalas around the floating gardens of Xochimilco. Visit the pyramids dedicated to the sun and moon at the Teotihuacan archaeological site and tour the museum and explore the city's fascinating history.
