A safari in the game-rich Masai Mara and a beach break on the tropical island of Mauritius is perhaps the most quintessential safari and beach combination, and our 12-night itinerary won’t disappoint. You stay in the classic tented Governors' Camp set beside the Mara River, where you dine al fresco or in the special mess tent. After three thrilling days on safari, with evenings spent chatting around the camp fire, dust off and fly to Mauritius via an overnight in Nairobi at the Palacina Hotel. Stay at the Belle Mare Plage where you’ll be beside one of the best beaches on the island. Excellent facilities mean you can enjoy a wealth of sporting activities, as well as spa treatments and a good range of food. This is an ideal combination of locations for celebrating a romantic occasion or for just getting away from the rush of everyday life.

Day 1

Depart from London Heathrow on direct overnight Kenyan Airways flight to Nairobi.

Day 2

Masai Mara - Governors' Camp

Transfer to Wilson Airport for the 10h00 flight to Masai Mara Game Reserve. An hour later, you will be met for a game drive transfer to camp.

Stay 3 nights in an en suite safari tent at Main Governor's Camp, all meals, game drives and park fees included. Set off on an afternoon game drive. After a relaxing hot shower and an aperitif by the campfire, dine under the stars

Days 3 - 4

Masai Mara - Main Governors' Camp

Early morning tea or coffee will be brought to your tent before your dawn game drive on the plains of the Masai Mara. You may have a picnic breakfast out on the plains, return to camp for brunch or spend the day watching the wildlife. Afternoon tea is followed by further game-viewing

Day 5

Nairobi - Palacina Hotel

After a final morning game activity and breakfast, depart on the 11h00 flight to Wilson, where you will be met and transferred to overnight at the Palacina Hotel, breakfast included

Day 6

Mauritius, Belle Mare Plage

Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for the mid-afternoon Air Mauritius flight to Mauritius (flying time 4h15mins).

On arrival early evening, you will be met and transferred by private vehicle to Belle Mare Plage to stay 7 nights in a Prestige room with dinner and breakfast included.

Days 7 - 12

Mauritius, Belle Mare Plage

Your time is your own here and you can enjoy beach life at the Belle Mare Plage, one of our favourite Mauritian hotels, set in extensive tropical gardens on a 2-kilometre long white sandy beach.

Day 13

After breakfast, you will be collected for your private transfer to the airport for the British Airways flight to London Gatwick.

Inclusive of return economy class flights on Kenyan Airways and Air Mauritius as specified, light aircraft return flights Nairobi – Masai Mara, pre-paid air taxes, road transfers and accommodation and activities as detailed in the itinerary, park fees.

Excludes: Visa entrance fees to Kenya, gratuities to the driver guide suggested at USD $5 - $10 per person per day, travel and medical insurance, drinks, meals other than specified, purchases of personal nature, and extra local activities.

**Please note that the luggage limit on all internal flights is 15 kilograms per person in soft sided bags.
