UK - Buenos Aires
Overnight flight to the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires. On arrival transfer to the luxurious Alvear Palace hotel located in the upmarket, leafy district of Recoleta. One of the most famous, iconic hotels in Latin America and is renowned for its renowned for tradition, elegance and hospitality. Nearby you will find some of the finest shops in the city.

Buenos Aires
Enjoy a city tour of Buenos Aires in the morning visiting the main iconic sights. Start at the Plaza de Mayo (the main square) which is flanked by the Government House also known as the 'Pink House' the Cabildo and the cathedral. Visit the bohemian district of San Telmo, famous for its cobbled streets and Sunday market before ending in La Boca, famous for it's colourful houses and tango dancers on the street. In the evening enjoy a typical Argentine dinner followed by the evocative Carlos Gardel Tango show .

Buenos Aires
Free day in Buenos Aires to explore the cafes, bohemian districts and museums of this lively city. Have tea and cake at the famous Cafe Tortoni or eat steak at one of the many parillas. Buenos Aires is also well connected to Uruguay and you can travel by boat to Colonia de Sacramento, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for a day trip and explore its colonial centre.

Buenos Aires - Iguazu
Fly to the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls. On arrival spend a few hours exploring the Argentine side of the falls including the impressive Devil's Throat walkway. The area surrounding the falls is lush Atlantic rainforest with a myriad of wildlife including many colourful butterflies. Continue into Brazil and the beautiful Das Cataratas, the only hotel situated within the Brazilian National Park. This colonial building is owned by Orient Express and is a luxurious base for exploration.

Iguazu
Explore the Brazilian side of the falls directly from your hotel. The Brazilian national park was founded in 1939 and the area declared a World Heritage Area by UNESCO in 1986. There is a 1.2km paved walkway to the falls ending high above Rio Iguazu for splendid views. At the end of the path there is a viewing point almost directly under Floriano Falls.

Iguazu - Rio de Janeiro
Fly to Rio de Janeiro and transfer to the iconic Copacabana Palace Hotel overlooking the famous beach of the same name. With its beautiful setting of Sugar Loaf Mountain and Corcovado, overlooking the bay and beaches, Rio de Janeiro has long been famous as the defining image of Brazil. from your luxurious hotel, with 1920's elegance this is the place to stay. Cipriani restaurant serves wonderful seafood and Italian fare in a formal but elegant setting.

Full day private tour to visit the famous Statue of Christ the Redeemer at Corcovado. At the Cosme Velho district you take the cogwheel train to the summit. Take the stairs to the base of the statue for spectacular views of the city. Surrounded by Tijuca forest, this man-made forest, is typical of the natural vegetation found in the interior.
In the afternoon drive to Sugarloaf Mountain and take the two stage cable car to the summit for panoramic
city views.

Rio de Janeiro
Free day in Rio to explore more of the city's up and coming districts such as Santa Teresa. This hilly inner suburb southwest of the centre. Here you will find many colonial and 19th century buildings set in narrow, curving, tree lined streets. Relax on Rio's celebrated beaches - Copacabana, Ipanema or Leblon and soak up the Brazilian vibe. For an evening out, visit the vibrant area of Lapa.

Rio de Janeiro - Buzios
Private transfer to Buzios a few hours by road along the coast, accommodation at the beautiful boutique property - Pousada Casas Brancas. This elegant pousada is nestled in the cooler hills overlooking beautiful Buzios bay and features only 32 rooms, some of which have a balcony. There is also an onsite restaurant and spa overlooking the ocean.

Buzios
Free time in Buzios to explore and/or visit the southern beaches. Buzios found fame in 1964 when Bridget Bardot was photographed sauntering barefoot along the beach. Originally a small fishing community, the town is now an upmarket resort with a host of restaurants and bars. Explore some of the 25 nearby beaches such as Geriba, Ferradura and Ossos, close to the centre of town. Schooner trips around the beautiful bay are popular.

Buzios - Rio - UK
Transfer back to Rio de Janeiro to the airport for your journey home to the UK.
