You then travel on to the leafy avenues and laid back charm of Mendoza, located in the heart of the wine producing region. As well as wine tasting tours there are opportunities to take part in active pursuits such as walking, biking or white water rafting
Next stop is Estancia la Bamba de Areco in the heart of the Pampas. Here your days are filled boating trips, bird watching and horseback riding through the mountains and beside rivers and lakes. Complete this trip at the mighty Iguazu Falls where you stay at the Loi Suites, located just outside the town of Puerto Iguazu.

UK - Buenos Aires
Departure from London Heathrow for the overnight flight with TAM Airlines to Buenos Aires via Sao Paulo.
On arrival transfer to the Legado Mitico located in the upmarket, leafy neighbourhood of Palermo Soho. This boutique hotel has only 11 rooms and provides an ideal base to explore this cosmopolitan city often referred to as the Paris of South America. Wide boulevards are lined with classic architecture and plaza are social areas with pretty fountains and statues.

Private tour to the most iconic sites of the city. Start at the Plaza de Mayo which is flanked by the Government House often referred to as the 'Pink House'. You can also appreciate the Cabildo and Cathedral. Nearby is San Telmo one of the oldest districts of the city where you find cobbled streets and colonial houses. The area is famous for it's Sunday market and tango 'milongas'. La Boca is the colourful port area where you find the iconic colourful 'camintios; often widely recognised as a symbol of the city. End this short city tour with a visit to Recoleta cemetery where the famous Eva Peron is buried.
Free day for further exploration of the city. Perhaps visit some of the art galleries or shop for classic Argentine leather goods. In the evening you will enjoy the Esquina Carlos Gardel tango show. At this grand venue you will experience Argentina’s finest singers and dancers performing an evocative show featuring the music, lyrics and sensual dance of the tango. The evening performance is preceded by an Argentine dinner and fine local wines.
Buenos Aires - Mendoza
Transfer to the airport for the short flight to one of the world's most famous wine areas, Mendoza. This area alone contributes to 70% of Argentina's wine production and Malbec is the region's specialty. There is also a vast array of outdoor activities ranging from mountain climbing, biking and white water rafting. The next three nights are spent at the boutique Lares de Chacras located close to the town of Chacras de Coria where you will find a variety of restaurants. During the day you can relax at the swimming pool and hot tub.

Two free days to explore the area. In the province of Mendoza the agro-ecological conditions are almost perfect hence why the area has been chosen to produce the most exquisite and finest wines in the country. We suggest a visit to Navarro Correas for premium wine tasting, Dominio del Plata for iconic wines and Piatelli. Explore the city of Mendoza where you can appreciate the magnificent Plaza de la Independencia and the Cerro de la Gloria for a fantastic panoramic view of the Precordillera area. During your city exploration, visit the 'Vines' a centrally located winery which is like visiting 50 of the best boutique wineries in the country. Here you can appreciate the differences between different Argentine regions and producers.
Mendoza - Estancia stay near Buenos Aires
Transfer to the airport for the short flight to Buenos Aires. From the airport it will take just under 2 hours to reach Estancia la Bamba de Areco. This traditional estancia dates back to 1830 when it was part of the 'Camino Real' (Royal Road) which connected Buenos Aires to the north of Argentina. Extensively renovated in 2009 it is now a superb boutique hotel in the heart of the Pampas. Although La Bamba is no longer a working estancia it retains a lot of the 18th century colonial charm. Whilst at the estancia all your meals and many excursions are included such as horseback riding and mountain biking.

Estancia - the Pampas
Free day for activities at the estancia depending on how active you feel! The highlight for many is often the classic Argentine Asado where the meat is cooked for several hours before being enjoyed at lunch or dinner. This is a typically social event and the delicious when washed down with local Argentine wine or the country's famous beer - Quilmes.
Buenos Aires - Iguazu Falls
Transfer to the airport in Buenos Aires for the flight to Iguazu in the north east Misiones province. Parque Nacional Iguazu is part of the Atlantic subtropical rain forest and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Iguazu derives it's name from the Guarani word for 'big water' which well describes the series of over 250 waterfalls which make up this magnificent site. Loi Suites is located just outside the town of Puerto Iguazu and provides a comfortable base to enjoy this tropical paradise in the midst of the Iryapu jungle. Enjoy the excellent facilities including a swimming pool, spa and gym. There is also a lovely restaurant with international food and bar next to the pool.

Full day excursion to the Argentine side of the falls for stunning vistas of the amazing natural wonder. From the Visitor centre you will take a 15 minute train journey to Garganta station then walk around 1km to the Devil's Throat balcony. There is also an amazing variety of ferns, orchids, begonias, birds and butterflies to discover. The highlight for many will be the boat trip to the base of the falls near the Devil's Throat Canyon - you will get wet.
Half day excursion to the Brazil side of the falls for more photographic opportunities. There are startling views of San Martin Island and the most spectacular individual falls such as Bozzetti, Two Sisters, San Martin and the Three Musketeers. Near the end of the path you will reach a viewpoint just 150 metres from the Devil's Throat where the view is often framed by a rainbow. The path ends near Floriano Fall, where you can take the panoramic elevator or stairs to return to the bus.
