"I loved seeing the scenery change as we travelled along the RN7. Ranomafana National Park is a real highlight as is the bizarre Ifaty Spiny Forest."

Anjajavy & the Northwest Reviews

'Herilala was a SUPERB guide - he even went to Berenty with us!. Excellent holiday. Met all our expectations and exceeded on wildlife spotting. Very satisfied with Relais des Plateaux. Food was surprisingly good at Andasibe Hotel. Berenty is stunning for wildlife. La Croix du Sud had the best decorated bedroom and bathroom outside of Anjajavy: the photo in the itinerary does not do it justice.

Mantadia was excellent and order was reversed, which was the right thing to do because of the poor state of the road to the park and the long drive back to Tana.

The road to Berenty was very picturesque but 'deteriorating road' does not describe it......the driver was excellent and managed the jouney in 3 hours thanks to some superb rally driving!'

Overall holiday satisfaction: excellent. We enjoyed the whole holiday with the exception of our stay at Iharana Bush Camp.

Vakona Forest Lodge: we particlarly liked th central building with the open fire which we needed as it was cool and damp.

Litchi Tree: Excellent +++ (food especially). The food was delicious. This is a very special place.

Ankarana Lodge: Good service, comfortable, good food and facilities. Location excellent. I liked the swimming pool. Very handily located for Ankarana.

Iharana Bush Camp: the service was indifferent. The lodge wasn't cleaned all the while we were there.

Anjajavy Le Lodge: excellent +++ Not just a very luxurious resort, but the whole area hd so much interest, with the paleontology, archaeology, as well as the wildlife. A fantastic stay'

'Transfers were very functional and helpful. The local guide at Andasibe (Dizzy) was outstanding. He put in a lot of extra effort to ensure we saw as much as we could. Overall holiday satisfaction: excellent. Anjajavy was a truly wonderful way to spend our last week. Only one small comment: drinks are expensive BUT everything else was fantastic'

Anjajavy is fantastic and also such a warm welcome and the guided walks were also fantastic and with knowledgeable guides. The drivers too were extremely friendly. I could really go on and on about how fantastic it was… Thank you so much for your help and advice throughout, I shall definitely be recommending Rainbow Tours to friends and we shall not hesitate to use you again in the future.

Excellent. Anjajavy Hotel was simply amazing. The location, wildlife, service, food, nothing really to complain even the least about. It was the perfect start to a honeymoon.

Just to let you know we had a wonderful time in Madagascar and my arrangements all went very smoothly. Anjajavy Hotel was wonderful , the staff incredibly welcoming, the accommodation was great but most of all the hotel and grounds were superb. It was so beautiful and the fauna and fauna quite simply breathtaking. Loved the fishing expedition - we caught 3 20 pound fish in 25 mins and the tea in the Oasis garden at 5pm and swimming at sunset in the infinity pool....... It really was paradise.
