This is Madagascar for the discerning traveller, a 14-night holiday focussing on the Masoala and Anjajavy peninsulas as perhaps the two best showcases for the natural highlights of the Island Continent. Comfortable accommodation, expert guiding and superb seafood, this is back to nature mixed with friendly hospitality, a blend of wildlife, magnificent forests, untouched beaches and stunning sunsets to accompany a daiquiri made from the local rum.
Fly with Air France to Antananarivo via Paris and overnight in a comfortable small hotel near the airport.

Masoala beach
Fly to Maroantsetra, the gateway to the 230,000-hectare Masoala National Park, where you will be met for the scenic boat transfer along the Bay of Antogil. Travel between June and September to stand a good chance of seeing humpback whales. Stay 4 nights in one of the five comfortable tented rooms with en suite facilities and hot running water at Masoala Forest Lodge, all meals and scheduled activities included.
Three full days enjoying the extraordinary Masoala peninsula. This is the only area in Madagascar where the lush rainforest rolls off the hills to meet the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Seek the red-ruffed lemur and other unique species of lemur, bird and reptile, snorkel over pristine reefs or take out a sea-kayak.

Red ruffed lemur - Masoala Forest Lodge
You will travel back to Antananarivo to overnight at Le Pavillon de L’Emyrne, a boutique hotel in the heart of the fashionable Isoraka district, close to a number of excellent restaurants.

Moromba Bay - Anjajavy
Transfer to the airport for the scenic private airline flight to exclusive Anjajavy on Madagascar’s remote northwest coast. Stay 7 nights in an air-conditioned sea-facing villa enjoying the height of Malagasy hospitality and one of Madagascar’s premier wildlife-watching hotspots. All meals and scheduled activities are included.
Six full days to do as much or as little as you please. Take an excursion to the sacred baobabs and tsingy at Moromba Bay, a guided walk through the heart of the forest or a sunset cruise in the mangroves. The game-fishing is world class. Alternatively, watch the lemurs from your verandah or over afternoon tea in The Oasis, relax on the beach or by the pool, or walk along the coast from cove to cove.

Coquerel’s sifaka - Anjajavy
Depart for Antananarivo, where you will be met and taken on a guided tour of the capital city. After dinner, board the overnight flight to the UK via Paris.
