When to go
Venezuela can be visited all year round and has a hot and humid climate in all areas, unless you are visiting cooler areas at altitude. With such a large country, the climate varies greatly throughout. The Caribbean coast is generally dry with infrequent rain. South of the Orinoco in the Gran Sabana and Canaima and the Andes around Merida and the Llanos, the dry season is November to May. Rain can occur at any time throughout the year, but is more pronounced towards the end of the year.
There are no direct flights from the UK to Venezuela and you are likely to fly with Iberia via Madrid.
