South Africa is still enjoying summer, but is not as hot as earlier in the year, and also possibly dryer; a great time to tour in the Western Cape, which is at its best, and the east side is less hot and humid than it is earlier in the summer. Botswana’s green season continues and is very good for birders and still plenty of game to be seen, but expect showers.
It’s still the dry season in East Africa and a good time to visit. March continues to be dry and hot in Sierra Leone.
Divers and snorkellers will enjoy the Seychelles as the sea is calm and visibility excellent.
Zambia is very wet and roads often impassable, though this will not affect Victoria Falls. Namibia remains very hot with temperatures over 35° and there can be rain in March.
Be careful of the southern Indian Ocean as this is still cyclone season. This can affect Madagascar Mauritius and Mozambique Rwanda is moving into the rainy season.
For wildlife enthusiasts March is a great month to be adventurous and explore Guyana. It is a wildlife paradise and unique for the opportunity to spot Jaguars and spend time with Giant River Otters.
