A wonderful Madagascar Evening with Hilary Bradt at Royal Geographical Society
Our Madagascar Evening on 25th November 2015 at the Royal Geographical Society was a marvellous success. Hilary Bradt, founder of Bradt Travel Guides and co-author of Madagascar: the Bradt Guide, delivered a captivating presentation on the natural history of this fascinating country.
Hilary's talk was preceded with an introduction to Rainbow Tours by our very own Fiona Herring, and a poignant presentation by Irenee Rajaona-Horne, director of Money for Madagascar, who briefed the audience on the admirable work being conducted by this inspiring charity. We are proud to be running a winter campaign with Money for Madagascar, which is now also supporting the highly praised projects managed by proactive NGO Association Mitsinjo.
Lyn Hughes, publisher and editor-in-chief of Wanderlust, made a superb compere for the evening, all the more so as she had previously travelled to Madagascar with Hilary. Respected travel writer Mike Unwin, who had been on a successful and very enjoyable Rainbow Tours press trip with his family in August, also said a few words and kindly donated some of his images for a silent auction.
We would like to thank everyone who made it to the event and also, our friends at Wanderlust and Swarovski Optik, who donated a generous prize for the raffle.
