Take in lofty peaks, snow-capped mountains, shimmering lakes and remote Andean villages on the Belmond Andean Explorer; South America's first sleeper train. Its 24 stylish en suite cabins (48 guests in total) are modern and sophisticated, each furnished with traditional Peruvian textiles. Cabins range from cosy bunk cabins, twin cabins to suites with double beds; all have a small shower and wardrobe. Delicious three-course meals and afternoon tea are served in one of two dining carriages and there is a piano lounge car; ideal for an afternoon Pisco Sour. Take in dramatic scenery from the observation car at the back with open deck and bar. Journeys on the Belmond Andean Explorer are either one or two nights travelling between Cuzco, Lake Titicaca and Arequipa (and return). Accompanied by expert guides, stops are made a long the way for excursions and there is an on board spa.
