Paradise Cove Boutique Hotel

Mauritius

Paradise Cove Boutique Hotel is set around a secluded cove on the north coast, 4 miles from lively Grand Baie. The private beach has breathtaking views of the five islands to the north. The first 5-star adult-only resort on the island. Set in ten acres of landscaped gardens, the 67 stylish rooms and suites combine the romantic atmosphere with every modern amenity. All have a sitting area and sea-facing balcony or terrace. Landscaping has created small, private areas, aptly named love nests, where you can linger over the splendour of the view across the ocean to the northern islands.

Facilities

Paradise Cove is a charming and elegant boutique hotel in a private and peaceful setting, and at the same time is small enough to provide attentive, personal service. An all-inclusive food and drinks package is available. There is nightly live and unplugged music and a choice of four restaurants serving fine international, Asian fusion, and seafood dishes. In addition there is 24 hour room service and beach & pool/love nest service from 10h00-17h30.

Activities

Paradise Cove offers an outstanding range of complimentary activities including fitness centre, 2 floodlit tennis courts, glass bottom boat, snorkelling and waterskiing from 11h00 to noon and 15h00 to 16h00.  At an additional cost scuba driving induction and certification courses, parasailing, submarine safari, big game fishing and private cruise in 12-seater catamaran with dedicated crew.

The beautiful Cinque Mondes spa offers Indian Ayurvedic or Taoist Chinese massage, tropical aroma and flower baths, hammam, facials and couple swimming pool.

Accommodation Reviews

'Craig Kaufman was amazingly helpful. He organised our holiday to Madagascar and Mauritius at very very short notice. We thought Vakona Forest Lodge provided excellent accommodation. Having stayed in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest with accommodation provided by local tribes we are very aware that there are different standards in a rainforest to a conventional hotel. We werevery comfortable and happy there. The trips were wonderful and we saw many varieties of lemur. If people went there and expected luxury lodges they may have been disappointed. We expected exactly what we got which was excellent for a rainforest and I would imagine the very best in the area. Some people have unrealistic expectations.

Best wishes and thank you Craig for organising a wonderful trip.

Paradise Cove was a beautiful resort with excellent water sports. Service was variable: some staff excellent & helpful, others gave us incorrect information e.g. about what was included in the all-inclusive package. Things that weren’t included were outrageously expensive, e.g. internet. Website is misleading as it implies there are three restaurants to choose from, but only one is included in the all-inclusive. La Cocoterie restaurant (the nice one!) is approx £120 for two people for one meal. However, overall wonderful experience relaxing on a lovely beach.

Excellent comfort & facilities. Food was either raw or overcooked, service inconsistent, very expensive if not all-inclusive. Massages were amazing.
