Deep in the Amazon rainforest, this eco-lodge offers the chance to learn about the Huaorani people’s traditional way of life, one of the most isolated ethnic groups on earth. As part of their sustainable tourism ethos the lodge is committed to minimising the negative impact on the local environment and involving community members in the project. The lodge has just five traditionally built palm-thatched rooms, all screened and with private facilities. Excursions include trips by dugout canoe, hiking and night walks to see nocturnal species.
